long overdue post about secondary segment leaders camp.

it was a small, cosy group, so you could interact with every single person. i guess the main objective of the camp was fulfilled: bonding among the leaders. but in the face of the oncoming cts which thankfully are over, i was wondering if i'd made the right decision. especially since i had a minor flu, exams were next week, and i hadnt really studied.

but no regrets (:

things that were shared: the establishment of a culture of honour in our church, and a greater emphasis on prophecy. which i think is the bomb =D

people tend to think of prophecy as a declaration of doomsday, and TURN FROM YOUR EVIL WAYS. but in 1 Cor 14: 1-5, prophesy is...

loving.
strengthening.
encouraging.
comforting.

prophesying, the looking at things from God's perspective.

it's like telling a tadpole, YOU WILL LEAP!

after that amazing insight, we had a time of prophesying over each other in our clusters. and i was so blessed.

yisin saw a really big bubble with me inside. it represented God's love that envelopes and surrounds me. God's love NEVER FAILS. it's like falling, yet knowing God's gonna catch you. 2 Peter 3:9 - God's promise is ever faithful.

such an apt picture.

that was zorbing in nz, and me and my cousin were inside. btw, that caucasian was totally hot. ehhhh =D

when you're in the zorb, you basically roll down this hill. and inside there's water and all.

the part about God's love never fails was what spoke to me most. cos recently, a dear friend and a classmate have regaled me with stories of how they're not loved at home. and yet, here was such a stark reminder that no matter what, GOD's love will never fail.

fang saw a sunflower.

(pretty new zealand flowers!)

apparently when i smile, i bring joy and comfort. so here's a smile for you =D, and you, =D, and you...

=DDD megawatts to the rescue!

"Believe you're a princess in God, not what others tell you"

Pastor John saw me as a bottle of perfume!

an indescribable, sweet aroma that can't be seen, but I bring joy and make people feel good. a perfume is very valuable - I am precious and very valuable in God's sight. and what seems a separate note, there's something only I can bring. hmm.

this picture made me want to laugh, cos i was reminded of how my sa friends tease me for not bathing before going to school. fragrant charlene indeed.

mel had a single sentence for me: God is in control.

at that point of time I was wondering about it, what it specifically meant. and now that im typing this, i feel comforted. just yesterday I was feeling the pressure of being a cell leader with members who don't seem to respect you. and I wondered just when they would realise that they might listen, they might copy down notes in their identical journals... but if they dont apply what they learn, and if they dont take these words to heart, they are like the foolish men building the house on sand. and when the wind and rain comes, that house will collapse. yet now i know and believe, that God indeed knows the plans He has for them, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them a hope and a future, a future in Him. and i have nothing to worry about ((:

alina said that I have a quiet trust in God. precious.

although I've never had it pointed out to me before, I recognise that it is true. some people come to me when they're down. they come disillusioned about God, whether they will ever receive a personal touch from Him, whether He will ever answer their prayers. or, they turn away from Him, they refuse to go to Him for help and answers. and I'm like, why do you do that! it makes zilch sense to me. because all along I've had this quiet trust in God. no matter what happens, setbacks that seem to prevent me from progressing, I've always known, once again, that God knows the plans He has for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future.

thanksgiving time!

yesterday pastor charissa was led to ask the church if there was anyone who had a desire to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. those who were standing had others praying for them. i went to find Delia from my cell, and asked her if she would like to receive it. during a time of prayer in which i was observing her acutely, i saw her lips moving. she received the gift of tongues =D

and i've yet to hear keann's testimony.

You are worthy of our praise
